This webinar is a general introduction to safeguarding suitable for all governors. If you become the nominated governor with responsibility for safeguarding you should also complete the Link Governor for Safeguarding course.

We will cover:
  • What is meant by safeguarding and the categories of child abuse
  • The role of the school and the governing body in safeguarding
  • The role of the nominated governor and chair of governors
  • Guidance and up to date information about safeguarding
