Course Description
This twilight session will focus on links between school refusal/avoidance and mental health and/or safeguarding concerns.This twilight session will explore the links between school avoidance and mental health and not just considering it school refusal.
It will also offer strategies to support reintegrating pupils back into school, maintaining this and appropriate referrals. We will also look at strategies to track data effectively and working effectively with external agencies.
Finally, we will look at how children absent from education and children missing from education are potential indicators of safeguarding concerns.
